Art Around Every Corner in Downtown State College

    Wednesday, January 21, 2026

So where is Webster and Puddles, or even the Centennial Pigs? What about the very first piece of art known as the Centennial Fountain, donated in 1907? Where is that located?

Stroll throughout Downtown State College and see pieces of art, both new and old. There are statues, paintings, murals, mosaics, and even architectural features that visitors can find and enjoy as they stroll around town.

The Downtown State College Art Walk is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and the Downtown State College Improvement District. The walk features 40 pieces of artwork scattered throughout the town, and searchers can obtain a map of their locations at The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau at 204 W. Beaver Avenue.

All the pieces of art are within an 8-block-by-4-block rectangle and can easily be seen while walking. The area goes from College Avenue to Nittany Avenue and from South Atherton to Hetzel Street. All but four can be seen outdoors, with three of the indoor ones being located in Schlow Library, which is open every day. Make sure you check the library’s hours atwww.schlowlibrary.org to see when it is open. The other indoor piece of art is located in the atrium of the Allenway building.

If you have a few minutes to spare or want something fun to do with the kids, grab a map, tie those shoes, and get out and see some great local art in Downtown State College!
